Edwin Avenue Garages

Edwin Avenue Garages

Toronto

Built for three families residing in a set of attached houses along Edwin Avenue, this series of unified garages aim to provide a backdrop for, and reflect the narrative of connection and sharing innate in Victorian row houses.

Simply constructed using concrete block and masonry units, the Edwin Garages highlight the craftsmanship of masonry and detailing, projecting certain bricks to create different light and shadow effects along the facades.

Colored tiles in the De Stijl palette give distinct personalities to each garage, distinguishing them as individuals within a collective.
